SJA Students Awarded NJHS Scholarships

SJA Students Awarded NJHS Scholarships
Posted on 05/27/2019

The National Junior Honor Society recognizes exceptional NJHS students nationwide who have demonstrated outstanding achievement.  Students are chosen based on their academic achievements, their commitment to service, the recommendations of their principal and faculty advisor, and a personal essay. Each year the National Association of Secondary Principals with support from The Education Plan, chooses only 500 students nationwide. Students must be members of the NJHS in good standing and be in grades 6 through 9.

Winners receive an award of $500 that is placed in a college savings account program-managed by Oppenheimer Funds (OFI Private Investments) as part of the New Mexico Education Trust Board’s 529 college savings plan: The Education Plan.

St. John’s Academy is very proud to participate in this program and even prouder to say that all four of our nominees were chosen to win this prestigious award.

Congratulations to our SJA scholars!
